About us

Woody has been a family business since 1922, which has required a lot of entrepreneurial courage over the decades and is now a successful and down-to-earth shoe manufactury.

Michael Piroutz starts producing wooden rakes, hay forks, scythe handles and wooden planks in Müllnern, in the municipality of Sittersdorf, and thus lays the foundation for the woody brand.

The focus is always on the material wood, which is the natural basis of woody shoes and, in addition to its numerous optical facets, stands above all for health and sustainability.

Today his grandson Gerhard Piroutz runs a flourishing shoe factory with around 40 employees at the same location and produces shoes and clogs with the flexible wooden sole.

Quality craftsmanship from Austria - In our manufactory, the unique shoes are made by careful by hand.
Natural materials such as willow wood and leather are the basis for comfort and well-being.

Questions about the operation of the website

Make sure you choose the right size and color. Products that are greyed out and / or crossed out are currently not in stock and cannot be ordered.

A sold out product or a sold out size cannot be ordered. However, you have the option to place a pre-order. As soon as the article is in stock, you will be informed by email.

Our articles are delivered within Europe, as well as to Canada, the USA and Australia. If you would like to purchase our products in other countries, please contact us directly by email (our contact details can be found in the imprint). However, we ask for your understanding that as a small company we can only offer free shipping to customers from Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The return is borne by the customer and is not free of charge.

No matter how large and extensive your order is, there are no costs for packaging and shipping to Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Delivery within Austria is made exclusively by Austrian Post.

Shipping to Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy and Liechtenstein costs a flat rate of € 18.
To other countries within the European Union (EU) shipping costs € 20, -.
Shipping to Canada, the USA and Australia costs a flat rate of € 31.50.

We regret that as a small company we cannot offer return shipping for free. The direct costs of a return are to be borne by the customer.

For orders outside the EU you have to bear the costs for customs and, if applicable, taxes or processing fees of the respective country. Please inquire here about the local regulations of your country.

We enclose a return slip with every package. Enclose the return slip with the return shipment to ensure smooth and fast processing.

Our shoes are not cut too big or too small. We generally recommend ordering your normal size. You can find one to help you Size Chart on our homepage.
