About Us

Who is woody
Founded in 1922 by Michael Piroutz, his grandson Gerhard Piroutz now runs a flourishing shoe factory at the same location with around 40 employees and produces shoes and clogs with flexible wooden soles.
What makes woody so special?
Comfort - Each shoe has a comfortable footbed for optimal comfort. Quality craftsmanship from Austria - The unique shoes are carefully handcrafted in our manufactory. Natural materials such as willow wood and leather are the basis for comfort and well-being.

Questions about ordering and payment

The product I want is no longer available, can I still order it?
As a rule, models that are sold out cannot be pre-ordered.
I made a mistake when ordering, what can I do?
In this case you are welcome to contact us by telephone (+43 4237 3105) or by email (woody@woody.co.at). We will cancel your wrong order and you can order again.
What payment methods are there?
We accept the following payment methods: Credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express), Paypal, Klarna, EPS transfer, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Shop Pay.
Will I receive an order confirmation?
Yes! As soon as we have received the order, you will automatically receive an order confirmation by e-mail. Please contact our support team if you have not received a confirmation. Please check your spam folder first.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes! The invoice will be sent to you by post together with the goods.
Which countries do you ship to?
Our items are delivered within Europe, as well as to Canada, the USA and Australia. If you would like to purchase our products in other countries, please contact us directly by email (you can find our contact details in the imprint). However, we ask for your understanding that as a small company we can only offer free shipping for customers from Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The return shipping is borne by the customer and is not free of charge.
How much are the shipping costs?
No matter how large and extensive your order is, there are no costs for packaging and shipping to Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Deliveries within Austria are made exclusively with the Austrian Post. Shipping to Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy and Liechtenstein costs a flat rate of € 18. Shipping to other countries within the European Union (EU) costs a flat rate of € 20. Shipping to Canada, the USA and Australia costs a flat rate of €31.50. We regret that as a small business we are not able to offer free return shipping. The direct costs of a return are to be borne by the customer.
Do I have to pay customs duties for imports into non-EU countries?
YES, for orders outside the EU, the costs for customs and, if applicable, taxes or processing fees of the respective country would have to be borne. Please inquire about the local regulations in your country.

Questions about returns and sizes

What size should I order?
Our shoes are not cut too big or too small. We generally recommend ordering your normal size. You can find a size chart on our homepage to help you.
How do I care for the leather?
To care for our leather, we recommend standard leather care. Under Accessories you can purchase a leather care product that we recommend. Application tips can also be found there.
How do I clean my clogs?
The wooden sole is easy to clean with soapy water and a sponge! (do not dry in direct heat or UV-Light)

Questions about using the website

Why can't I put the desired product in the shopping cart?
Make sure you chose the right size and color. Products that are greyed out and/or crossed out are currently not in stock and cannot be ordered.
Where can I redeem vouchers or discount codes?
The code can be entered in the coupon code window on the right at checkout. The discounted amount is then automatically displayed and accepted. Only vouchers that are specifically designated for the online shop can be redeemed. Discount codes can also only be redeemed in the online shop.

Questions about returns

How can I return or exchange something?
We enclose a return label with every package. Enclose the return slip with the return to ensure smooth and quick processing. woody GmbH, Muellnern 21, A-9133 Sittersdorf, Austria. Please note: Return of the goods and processing can take up to 3 weeks.
What can I do if the refund amount is too low?
If we have accidentally refunded an incorrect amount, please contact our customer service. Please indicate the relevant order number and the name under which you placed the order. This helps us to find a solution as quickly as possible.
