About us

Woody has been a family business since 1922, that has demanded a lot of entrepreneurial courage over the decades and which is now a successful and down-to-earth shoe manufacturer.

Michael Piroutz starts with the production of wooden rakes, pitchforks, scythe handles and wooden clogs in Müllnern, Sittersdorf. Thus lays the foundation for the woody brand. 

The focus is always on the material wood, which represents the natural basis of woody shoes and, in addition to its numerous optical facets, primarily stands for health and sustainability.

Today his grandson Gerhard Piroutz runs a flourishing shoe factory with around 40 employees at the same location and produces shoes and clogs with the flexible wooden soles.

Comfort - Each shoe has a comfortable footbed for optimal comfort. Quality crafted in Austria - In our manufactory, the unique shoes are carefully handcrafted. Natural materials such as willow wood and leather are the basis for comfort and well-being.

Questions about ordering and payment

A sold out product or a sold out size cannot be ordered. However, you have the option of placing a pre-order. As soon as the article is in stock, you will be informed by email.

You can choose to pay by credit card, PayPal, SOFORT by Klarna or purchase on account or installment purchase by Klarna and Apple Pay.

Yes! As soon as we have received the order, you will automatically receive an order confirmation by email. Please contact our support team if you have not received a confirmation. Please check your spam folder beforehand.

Yes! The invoice will be sent to you by post together with the goods.

The delivery of our products takes place within Europe, as well as to Canada, the USA and Australia. If you would like to purchase our products in other countries, please contact us directly by email (you can find our contact details in the legal notice). However, we ask for your understanding that, as a small company, we can only offer free shipping for customers from Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The return shipment is borne by the customer and is not free of charge.

No matter how big and extensive your order is, there are no costs for packaging and shipping to Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The delivery within Austria takes place exclusively with the Austrian Post.

Shipping to Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy and Liechtenstein costs a flat rate of € 18. To other countries within the European Union (EU), shipping costs a flat rate of € 20. To Canada, the USA and Shipping to Australia costs a flat rate of € 31.50.

We regret that we, as a small company, cannot offer return shipping for free. The direct costs of a return are to be borne by the customer.

For orders outside the EU, you have to bear the costs for customs and, if applicable, taxes or processing fees of the respective country. Please inquire here about the local regulations in your country.

Questions about using the website

Make sure you have chosen the correct size and color. Products that are greyed out and / or crossed out are currently not in stock and cannot be ordered.

The code can be entered on the right in the voucher code window when completing the purchase. The discounted amount is then automatically displayed and applied. Only vouchers that are specifically designated for the online shop can be redeemed. Discount codes can also only be redeemed in the online shop.

We always try to process your inquiries on working days (MON - FRI) within 24 hours. If you have not received an answer within this time, please also check your spam folder.

Questions about the return

The return of the goods and the processing can take up to 3 weeks. 

If we accidentally refund the wrong amount, please contact our customer service. Please enter the relevant order number and the name under which you placed the order. This helps us to find a solution as quickly as possible.


Our shoes are not cut too big or too small. We generally recommend ordering your normal size. To help you find one Size Chart on our homepage.

For the care of our leather we recommend a standard leather care. Under accessories you can purchase a leather care product recommended by us. Application tips can also be found there.
