1. Scope

The following general terms and conditions apply to all orders via our online shop.
 

2. Contractual partner, conclusion of contract

The purchase contract is concluded with woody GmbH.

The presentation of the products in the online shop is not a legally binding offer, but a non-binding online catalog. You can initially place our products in the shopping cart without obligation and correct your entries at any time before submitting your binding order by using the information provided in the order process and use the explained proofing tools. By clicking the order button, you place a binding order for the goods in the shopping cart. Confirmation of receipt of your order will be sent by email immediately after the order has been sent.

When the contract with us is concluded depends on the payment method you have chosen:

  • Credit card:
    When you submit your order, you also provide us with your credit card details. After your legitimation as the legal cardholder, we request your credit card company to initiate the payment transaction and thereby accept your offer.
  • PayPal:
    During the ordering process you will be redirected to the website of the online provider PayPal. There you can enter your payment details and confirm the payment order to PayPal. After placing the order in the shop, we request PayPal to initiate the payment transaction and thereby accept your offer.
  • KLARNA Immediately:
    Sofortüberweisung by Klarna. During the ordering process you will be redirected to the website of the online payment provider Sofort GmbH (Klarna). Here you can (without registering) make your transfer quickly and easily using your account details. By confirming the order, the contract is concluded with us.
  • KLARNA purchase on account:
    Payment on account by Klarna. During the ordering process you will be redirected to the website of the online payment provider Klarna. The outstanding invoice amount resulting from your purchase must be transferred to KLARNA within 14 days of receipt of the goods. You will receive all further details about payment during the ordering process and by email from Klarna.
  • KLARNA installment purchase:
    Payment in installments by Klarna. During the ordering process you will be redirected to the website of the online payment provider Klarna. The open invoice amount resulting from your purchase must be transferred to Klarna at the intervals you have chosen.   • EPS transfer:
    EPS transfer is a secure online payment system for consumers and web shop operators. It was developed in cooperation with Austrian banks in order to be able to process online purchases via secure online banking.
  • Google Pay:
    Pay with Google using your Android smartphone or smartwatch. Faster than reaching for your wallet or paying with a Giro card.
  • ApplePay:
    Pay with your Apple smartphone. It replaces bank cards and cash with a simpler, safer and more private payment method, whether in store, on a website or in an app.
  • Shop Pay:
    Shop Pay is an accelerated checkout that allows customers to save their email address, credit card details, shipping and billing information. Customers must provide an email address at checkout to save their payment information.

3. Contract language, contract text storage

The language available for the conclusion of the contract is German.

We save the text of the contract and send you the order data by email. You can see the contract text in our customer login.
 

4. Terms of delivery

In addition to the stated product prices, there are also shipping costs (except for the DACH region). You can find out more about the amount of shipping costs in the offers.

We only deliver by post. Unfortunately, a self collection of the product is not possible.

 

5. Payment

 

The following payment methods are generally available in our shop:

Credit card:
When you submit your order, you also provide us with your credit card details. After your legitimation as the legal cardholder, we will ask your credit card company to initiate the payment transaction immediately after the order has been placed. The payment transaction is carried out automatically by the credit card company and your card is charged.

PayPal:
During the ordering process you will be redirected to the website of the online provider PayPal. In order to be able to pay the invoice amount via PayPal, you must be registered there or first register, legitimize with your access data and confirm the payment instruction to us. After placing the order in the shop, we ask PayPal to initiate the payment transaction.
The payment transaction will be carried out automatically by PayPal immediately afterwards. You'll get more information during the ordering process.

Instant bank transfer:
After placing the order, you will be redirected to the website of the online payment provider Sofort GmbH (Klarna). In order to be able to pay the invoice amount via Sofort, you must have an online banking account with PIN / TAN that has been activated for participation in Sofort, identify yourself accordingly and confirm the payment order to us. You'll get more information during the ordering process. The payment transaction will be carried out immediately afterwards by Sofort and your account will be debited.

Payment on account:
After placing the order, you will be redirected to the website of the online payment provider Klarna. Klarna invoice allows you to try on, look at and touch the ordered products and ultimately only pay for what you keep. The invoice amount must be transferred to Karna within 14 days of receipt of the goods. You will receive all further details by email from the online payment provider Klarna.
 

Installment payment with Klarna:
After placing the order, you will be redirected to the website of the online payment provider Klarna. There you can find out more about partial payment with Klarna.

6. Retention of title

The goods remain our property until full payment.
 

7. Transport damage

If goods are delivered with obvious transport damage, please report such errors to the deliverer as soon as possible and contact us immediately. Failure to lodge a complaint or to contact you has no consequences whatsoever for your legal claims and their enforcement, in particular your warranty rights. However, they help us to assert our own claims against the carrier or the transport insurance.
 

8. Warranty and Guarantee

The statutory right to liability for defects applies. Information on any applicable additional guarantees and their exact conditions can be found with the product and on special information pages in the online shop.
 

9. Liability

We are always unrestrictedly liable for claims based on damage caused by us, our legal representatives or vicarious agents

  • in the event of injury to life, body or health,
  • in the event of willful or grossly negligent breach of duty,
  • in the case of guarantee promises, if agreed, or
  • as far as the scope of the product liability law is opened.

In the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations, the fulfillment of which makes the proper execution of the contract possible in the first place and on whose compliance the contractual partner may regularly rely (cardinal obligations) through slight negligence on the part of us, our legal representatives or vicarious agents, the amount of liability is foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded Damage limited, the occurrence of which can typically be expected. Who is woody?

Founded in 1922 by Michael Piroutz, his grandson Gerhard Piroutz now runs a flourishing shoe factory at the same location with around 40 employees and produces shoes and clogs with flexible wooden footbed soles.

What makes woody so special?

Convenience - Each shoe has a pleasant footbed for optimal wearing comfort. Quality craftsmanship from Austria - The unique shoes are carefully handcrafted in our factory. Natural materials such as willow wood and leather are the basis for comfort and well-being.

Questions about ordering and payment

The product I want is no longer available, can I still order it?

As a rule, sold-out models cannot be pre-ordered.

I made a mistake when ordering, what can I do?

In this case, you are welcome to contact us by phone (+43 4237 3105) or email (woody@woody.co.at). We will cancel your incorrect order and you can order again.

What payment methods are there?

We accept the following payment methods: Credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express), Paypal, Klarna, EPS transfer, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Shop Pay.

Will I receive an order confirmation?

Yes! As soon as we have received your order, you will automatically receive an order confirmation by email. Please contact our support team if you have not received confirmation. Please check your spam folder beforehand.

Will I receive an invoice?

Yes! The invoice will be sent to you by post together with the goods.

Which countries do you ship to?

Our items are delivered within Europe, as well as to Canada, the USA and Australia. If you would like to purchase our products in other countries, please contact us directly by email (you can find our contact details in the legal notice). However, we ask for your understanding that, as a small company, we can only offer free shipping for customers from Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The return shipping is borne by the customer and is not free of charge.

How much are the shipping costs?

No matter how large or extensive your order is, there are no costs for packaging and shipping to Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Delivery within Austria is only via the Austrian Post. Shipping to Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy and Liechtenstein costs a flat rate of €18. Shipping to other countries within the European Union (EU) costs a flat rate of €20. Shipping to Canada, the USA and Australia costs a flat rate of €31.50. We regret that, as a small company, we cannot offer free returns. The direct costs of a return are to be borne by the customer.

Do I have to pay customs import duties in non-EU countries?

YES, for orders outside the EU you would have to bear the costs of customs and, if necessary, taxes or processing fees of the respective country. Please check your country's local regulations.

How do I care for the leather?

To care for our leather, we recommend a standard leather care product. You can purchase a leather care product recommended by us under Accessories. You can also find application tips there.

How do I clean my wooden shoes?

Questions about using the website

Why can't I add the product I want to the shopping cart?

Make sure you have selected the correct size and color. Products that are grayed out and/or crossed out are currently not in stock and cannot be ordered.

Where can I redeem vouchers or discount codes?

The code can be entered in the voucher code window on the right when completing the purchase. The discounted amount is then automatically displayed and applied. Only vouchers that are specifically designed for the online shop can be redeemed. Discount codes can also only be redeemed in the online shop.

How can I return or exchange something?

We include a returns slip with every package. Enclose the return slip with the return shipment to ensure smooth and quick processing. What can I do if the refund amount is too low?
